AICTE CMAT 2016 Registration:candidates desirous to apply for CMAT 2016-17 are required to get themselves register online. They must fill-in and submit the CMAT Application Form to appear for CMAT 2016. Also they will be required to pay requisite application fee while registering for the test using available payment modes. AICTE has allowed candidates who have registered for CMAT 2016 but not completed the payment procedure to conduct final registration till tomorrow i.e. December 15 on the official website of CMAT.

AICTE CMAT 2016 Registration

The registration for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2016, ended on December 13, 2015. The official notification states as follows: “Candidates who have registered but not made payment yet, Please note that CASH Payment can be made till 14th Dec 2015 only and ONLINE payment can be done till 15th Dec 2015.”

To register for CMAT, the candidates are required to enter as “New User” and fill a self-registration form by entering a few basic details. On submission of this form, a unique 6 digit password will be generated. This password will be sent to the candidates via e-mail and SMS. Thereafter, using this password and ID, the candidates can login to the registration portal for filling the application form and pay application fee. After re-login, the candidates must pay the application fee and fill the application form correctly to complete the CMAT registration process.

Application fee and Mode of remittance

The candidates will be required to pay non-refundable application fee while submitting the CMAT Application Fee. The amount of the fee to be paid by the candidates for any test centre chosen in India is as follow –

General category candidates – Rs. 1400/- (plus applicable Bank charges)
Reserved category candidates – Rs. 700/- (plus applicable Bank charges)

This fee can be paid through the following two modes. The candidates can choose any of these modes for fee payment as per their convenience.

Online – The candidates can pay using Credit/Debit Card or via Net banking.
Cash Payment in SBI Bank – The candidates can pay by cash at any of the designated SBI Bank branch. While filling the online application form of CMAT, the candidates will have to select the option of paying via cash. After selecting this option, the candidates will see a Challan on the screen furnishing their details already filled in it. The candidates will be required to take 3 print-outs of this Challan, fill in the details in all the copies and submit the fee against these challan at any nearest SBI bank branch on the next day of generation of Challan. The bank will give one copy of challan back to the candidate imposing their stamp and a journal number written on it, in return to the cash deposit.

Note –

  • Cash deposit will be accepted only from the next day of Challan generation. After 48 hours of the cash deposit, the payment will get updated in the registration portal.
  • If candidates generate Challan on 10 December, they can submit the cash by 11 December and complete the registration process by 13 December 2015.
  • For all existing users who would not have paid the fee after generating Challan or will be waiting for their data to get updated on the portal, the last date of application form submission for such candidates will be 13 December 2015.
  • The candidates will receive an e-mail and SMS for payment confirmation.
  • The fee cannot be paid via Demand Draft or Cheque.

CMAT Exam Pattern 2016

As told earlier, the CMAT MBA Exam is a computer based test. The test will be held on a single day. The questions asked in the exam will be objective type. The CMAT Exam Pattern can be easily understood from the details given below –
