Air India announces Promotional Schemes:Air India on Tuesday announced two new promotional schemes to attract more passengers during the ongoing holiday season. The airline announced two promotional schemes “New Year Special” and “Lucky First Under the New Year Special offer, passengers will get an all-inclusive one-way fare of Rs 5,016 for travel between the metros on flights departing between 8 pm on December 31, and 8 am on January 1, the national carrier said in a statement.

New Year Special” scheme will offer passengers with an all-inclusive one-way fare for just Rs 5,016 for travel between metros according to the airline. The airline further explained that the offer is valid on all flights departing between 8 pm of December 31, 2015, and 8 am of January 1, 2016.
It is owned by Air India Limited, a Government of India enterprise and operates a fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft serving various domestic and international destinations. Air India uses the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787 aircraft for selected domestic routes while long distance services use the Boeing 777-300ER, 747 and 787 aircraft.
Air India serves 60 domestic destinations and 31 international destinations in 19 countries. Air India’s short-haul routes mainly include domestic routes and cities in South East Asia and the Middle East. For short-haul routes, Airbus A320 family aircraft are used with the Boeing 787 aircraft introduced on selected domestic routes
Under the other promotional scheme “Lucky First” passengers travelling in economy or business class on Air India B777 flights on Delhi-Mumbai-Delhi sector will stand a chance to win an upgrade to first class on the same flight.”A Lucky draw will be held at the boarding gate before the take off,” the airline was quoted in a statement as saying.
