The state government is planning to develop “Brand AP” by highlighting the culture, customs, resorts, idyllic spots like Konaseema and architectural excellence through its tourism policy.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will launch the Tourism Mission document on Monday here which is a submission of the service sector mission among the Seven missions which the government rides. In an attempt to make the state a tourist hub, the government prepared the policy document after speaking to stakeholders and tourism experts, who include travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers, resort owners, architects, consultants and other private investors.

The document highlights emerging tourism trends, challenges, growth projections, tourism contribution to economy, mission objectives, strategy intervention and roadmap to achieve the tourism objectives. Important tourism themes have been identified based on inherent strengths of the state and the government also proposes development on “HUB & SPOKE MODEL” in key locations. The other key developmental areas identified include marketing & brand building, strengthening governance & institutional framework.
