Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu now launched the primary phase of Fiber Grid mission to offer broadband connectivity at low-cost rate. Andhra Pradesh government signed a MoU with Cisco Corporation as division of the launch of India’s primary state wide broadband scheme ‘AP Fiber-Net’. Naidu said that digital alteration was the mainly transformative means to light sustainable enlargement and get better civilization. His government’s aspire was to give internet connection to all families in the state as division of Digital India campaign, he said.

Under the development, internet connections would be offered at low-cost rate in districts of Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram by April. Under the scheme, 15 Mbps broadband association will be give at Rs 149 per month to households and 100 Mbps connection for offices at Rs 999 per month. Executive chairman of Cisco John T Chambers said Cisco will place up an Internet of Everything (IoE) Innovation Centre in Visakhapatnam to foster regional modernization and will facilitate partners and start-ups to construct solutions around IoE and connect in quick prototyping.
