Special rituals and pujas similar to that being offered at Lord Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala will be offered at ancient Meesala Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Ananthavaram. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has adopted the ancient temple during a programme at the hilltop temple in Ananthavaram on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, TTD chairman Chadalawada Krishnamurthy said that TTD would start all the pujas and special rituals performed at Tirumala in Meesala Venkateswara Swamy temple. He added that Ananthawaram would become the main pilgrimage of the new capital Amaravati and assured all round development of the hill-top temple.

Speaking on the occasion Tadikonda MLA T.Sravakumar said that AP CM N.Chandrababu Naidu was blessed with a grandson after conducting pujas at the temple at Ananthavaram during Ugadi festival.

TD MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and minister for agriculture P Pulla Rao said that Meesala Swamy will bless the government with completion of new capital Amaravati without any hurdles.

Mr Krishnamurthy completed the process of TTD adoption.
