AP : Union Minister Promises More Research Institutions. The Centre will bear 50 pc of remunerative price of oil palm

Vijayawada : Union minister for agriculture Radhamohan Singh on Monday assured Chief Minister N. Chandrababu of allotting more research institutions for the State. Union minister Radhamohan Singh interacted with the CM at his camp office and discussed various issues regarding development of the state. On the occasion, the union minister promised to CM Chandrababu Naidu that the Centre would sanction more agriuculture research institutions associated wings for AP.

A sub-centre for the Central Rice Research Institution has been allotted for Srikakulam district, he said and promised that the Centre would pursue the proposal for setting up of Indian Institute of Rice Research Institute. On the request of the state government over remunerative prices for oil palm, the minister said that the Centre would bear 50 per cent, if the State also comes forward to share the remaining amount. He said that the Centre will help the State in all possible ways in the coming days, Several officials and prominent TD leaders were present.
