The overall voter turnout for the state assembly polls was recorded at 56.47% from 243 constituencies. Bihar Election Result Day Live From Times Now Youtube.

 The first phase of the polls recorded 57% voter turnout from 1.35 crore voters in 49 constituencies, while the second phase had 55% polling from 86.1 lakh voters in 32 seats. The third phase had a poll percentage of 53% from 1.45 crore voters in 50 seats and the fourth phase recorded 57% turnout from 1.47 crore voters in 55 seats.


As Bihar awaits for the result, it is seemingly a photo finish between the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the JD(U)-RJD-Congress Grand Alliance. The Bihar election was full of theatre and intriguing. We can only guess how it ends.

According to Election Commission of India, around 1000 Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines were used along with EVMs in 36 out of the 243 assembly seats in Bihar elections, spread over 34 districts. ECIL manufactured VVPATs will be used in 10 assembly constituencies, while BEL manufactured VVPAT will be used in 26 assembly constituencies.
