Brahmotsavam : TTD sets all time record in darshan

TTD EO Dr D. Sambasiwa Rao said that the TTD has set an all-time record of having provided hassle-free darshan to 6.41 lakh pilgrims during Navaratri Brahmotsavam. Addressing a press conference in Tirumala, the EO stated TTD has provided darshan to 6,41,831 pilgrims while 5,75,741 had the darshan during Salakatla Brahmotsavam last month. He said the unique feature is that the pilgrims had both Wahana Seva as well darshan in a short waiting period which could be possible only with the efficiency of the staff Listing out the highlights, the EO said, TTD has recorded an all-time highestnumber of 25, 73.717 laddus distribution while in September Brahmotsavam it was 24,82,155.

The other important area where the TTD achieved better results is increase in occupancy ratio which recorded 94 per cent in October where as 92 per cent in September Brahmotsavam. In providing Annaprasadam, the EO said 17,780,841 in October and 14,89,303 in September, while Hundi collection stood at Rs 16.28 crore in October and Rs 17.37 crore in September.

The EO appreciated the timely act by the engineering department in removing the boulders which fell on ghat road due to inclement weather conditions and the designing of galleries with proper entry and exitgates, He also appreciated the service of Srivari Sevakulu, scouts, TTD vigilance and police services.
