Miyapur : Sri Chaitanya College Student Savitha immolated herself in Hostel. Nadikuda Satvika (16), who is studying Intermediate 1st Year at Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Miyapur has immolated herself at the hostel.  Savitha is an Intermediate 1st Year students who is studying in MPC group. After completing of Dussehra holidays she came to hostel from her native place. From then she found depressed. But, nobody knows the proper reason for her depression. Also on the suicide spot no suicide note was found. Savitha burned herself by firing and lighting up. She had 3rd degree burns and died on the spot. Hyderabad police were trying to contact her parents to intimate about their daughter’s death. The investigation is presently going on.

At 1pm Satvika had a telephonic conversation with her mom and advised that she would not like to stay in hostel. Later she went to her room and couple of students spotted smoke surging out of her room. They alarmed the staff hurried to protect her.

“Satwika was engulfed in flames and suffered third-degree burns and died on the spot. No suicide note was found and we are yet to ascertain what kind of liquid she used to torch herself. We have informed her parents and are waiting for her mother to reach city,” said Kukatpally ACP N Bhujanga Rao.

Balala Hakkula Sangham blamed college management saying that students are ending lives due the pressure and then they attributed the death to love affairs. A sample has been sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination.The deceased was a daughter of Santosh Reddy and Latha of Armoor in Nizamabad district and her father is a farmer.

Balala Hakkula Sangham blamed college management saying that,  “students are ending lives due the pressure and then they attributed the death to love affairs. They demanded action against the institution and a probe into the incident.”

The suspicious death 174 case was registered and the enquiry and post-mortem process is going on to know the exact reason for Savitha’s decision of death.  The facts will be revealed soon by the Hyderabad police.
