Dhanush tweeted this morning with the confirmation that the shooting for the film Kodi has officially commenced. The actor is working with director Durai Senthil Kumar for this venture with whom he has already worked with briefly in Ethir Neechal. Actresses Trisha and Shamili will be playing the leading ladies. The movie is supposed to be a political thriller. Interestingly, he will be teaming up with music director Santosh Narayanan for the first time, for which the star seems quite excited. Dhanush being a lyric writer and an active singer, an interesting development has popped up for a new combination that the industry would like to savour. Fresh from the release of Irudhi Suttru, Santhosh Narayanan for the first time will team up with Dhanush for Kodi as the music director.
Santhosh is already busy with Iraivi, Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum, Kashmora, untitled Ahmed project, Vijay 60, Kabali and Santhanam’s Server Sundaram. And with this project adding to the list now, it is going to be one remarkable year for the music director.
