Kawasaki Versys 650 Release Date:Kawasaki India gearing up to launch Versys 650 on 24 December. Though there are no official statements on the price, the leaked information on the internet claim the motorcycle will be priced at Rs 6.75 lakh, ex-showroom.The dual purpose Versys 650 resembles the Versys 1000 in terms of design. Dual headlamps, height adjustable front windscreen, LED tail lamps and a large fuel tank are some of the features of the Versys 650.

This one being an adventure tourer comes with reach adjustable handlebar and wide seats for that extra comfort on long journeys. It has a ground clearance of 170mm which makes it take uneven adventurous surfaces with great ease. The Versys 650 also gets upside down forks at front and monoshock with remote adjustable spring for the rear.

The Kawasaki Versys 650 will be powered by a 649cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that makes 69PS of power and generates 63.7Nm of peak torque and comes paired with a six-speed transmission. The front brakes on the Versys 650 are dual 300mm petal-style rotors with two-piston calipers and the rear brake is single 250mm petal-style rotor with single-piston caliper.

The prices of Kawasaki Versys 650 will be higher than the Ninja 650 by Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000. We expect Kawasaki to offer the Versys 650 with ABS as standard.

The motorcycle comes with dual head lights, large capacity fuel tank and LED tail lights. Being a tourer motorcycle, the new motorcycle will be equipped with height-adjustable windshield and reach-adjustable handlebars. The ground clearance of 170mm comes handy for off-road rides. The Versys range is known for its touring virtues that also offers comfortable off-road ride.

The Kawasaki Versys 650 will be brought in via the CKD route to India and will be the fifth motorcycle to be locally assembled in India after the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Z250, Ninja 650 and the ER-6n.
