Rohith Vemula death

PHD research Student Rohith Vemula death is the most serious issue running in Telangana state. After Rohith Vemula’s suicide the state has witnessed critical violence. The student was found dead after he was banned from the hostel and other common areas on campus for allegedly attacking an activist of the BJP-linked ABVP. Rohith Vemula has committed suicide on January 17 2016.People protested that Smriti Irani has indirectly involved in his death issue. During a debate in the Lok Sabha yesterday, Wednesday on the controversies surrounding the Hyderabad University and the JNU, Union Educational Minister Smriti Irani had said nobody allowed a doctor near Rohith Vemula either to revive him or take him to the hospital.

Smriti Irani said that, “Nobody allowed a doctor near him. The police has reported that no one attempt was made to revive this child, not one attempt was made to take him to a doctor. Instead what was done was that his body was used as a political tool, hidden. No police was allowed till 6.30, the next morning. It is not me the Telangana police is saying this,”

The doctor who declared Rohith death has objected minister’s comments

Dr Rajasree Malpath declared rohith’s death after checking him thoroughly. She is Chief Medical Officer at the Hyderabad Central University. She said she was called in moments after Rohith was found hanging to a fan.
she has stated that “Around 7.30 pm I got a call from the hostel. I reached within 4 minutes. The body was already put on the cot. I examined for pulse and BP, despite knowing he is probably dead. There was no pulse or BP. His body was cold, stiff and rigid. His tongue was protruding and rigor mortise had set in,”

His supporters protested for the justice and still they are trying to get justice.The case is taking twists and turns everyday. The complete details regarding his death will be given by the investigation commission soon.
