Saina Nehwal to Play for Lucknow and Lee Chong Wei for Hyderabad
Under Premier Badminton League (PBL)’s auction on Monday, it is expected that fifty players would go under it but, the bidding for the players Saina Nehwal and Lee Chong Wei was on Sunday night itself.
On Sunday, PBL has announced the names of Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai franchisees. And totally, six franchisees were very eager to get the best players when this when the PBL Premier Badminton League auction took place recently. It is said that, the tournament will start from 2nd of January 2015 and the grand finale will be on 17th of January 2015.
Reports about Bidding for Sania
There were as many as 50 top players in this auction with India’s star Sina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth.
As per the reports that were given in Times of India, it is said that five franchises have made maximum of 1 lakh dollars bidding for the Saina Nehwal. Her fate was finally declared by a lottery and which it was won by the Awadh Warriors of Lucknow. As said, this star will be the grab by many teams in the auction held it is the same happened and finally Saina Nehwal is going to play for Lucknow on the tournament.
Lee Chong Wei to Play for Hyderabad
Mumbai and Hyderabad too went the distance in their efforts for protecting the services of the Lee Chong Wei the superstar. After several draws, Hyderabad ultimately got their hands leading over this Malaysian. A team owner said to TOI quoting that, the team owners were agreed up on conducting the auction both for Saina Nehwal and Lee Chong Wei. Every team wanted this India’ superstar Saina Nehwal but finally Awadh Warriors has bagged this lady at the end.
It is said that, the auction for the remaining players will be held later in the day at New Delhi.
