Aishwarya Rai’s second movie after her sabbatical titled ‘Sarbjit’ starts rolling out from today. Confirming the same, the makers of the movie also shared the first look of the biopic in the form of a poster. Vanita Omung Kumar took to twitter to share the poster of the movie.

The poster in itself indicates the traumatic life of Sarbjit. The film that is based on Sarbjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan shall see Randeep Hooda play the title role of Sarbjit, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Richa Chada shall be seen essaying the roles of his sister (Dalbir Kaur) and wife respectively.

He has been roped in for the character of Khalid Pervaiz, a Pakistani lawyer who fights Sarbjit’s case.

The biopic is being produced by Sandeep Singh, Zeeshan Quadri and Omung Kumar. The film will hit theatres on 20 May next year, and is expected to be released at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.Previously, it was reported that Sonakshi Sinha would be playing Dalbir Kaur, before she got replaced by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. There were also reports that Amitabh Bachchan would be part of the film, though they never have been verified.
