School Bus Engine Catches Fire, None Hunt
July 16, Vijayawada : In an incident which may raise questions over the fitness of school buses and safety of school children, the engine of a school bus caught fire on the CK reddy Road in Satyanarayanapuram on Thursday morning. Fortunately. a mishap was averted due 10 the absence of school children in the bus when the incident occurred.
According lo locals a bus belonging to a private school in Satyanarayanapuram picked up children during the morning trip and dropped them at school.
Later in the afternoon, while the bus driver was taking the bus to parking lot. it caught fire after reaching Raghavendra theatre.
The driver slowed down the bus and locals brought the fire under control. Residents of the locality were in a grip of panic after the incident.
