CIMA Awards is back for the second version and in the altered avatar of CIMA Awards – The Kolkata Art Festival 2017, a month-long, pan-city festival of arts.
Second Edition Of CIMA Awards Announced
Applications for the honors already started pouring in and demands for an additional time have prompted the expansion of the due date from February 16 to February 29.
“In the second release of the CIMA awards we are planning a meeting of brains from various controls. We are cooperating with various offices and welcoming other galleries also inside of West Bengal and outside,” CIMA director Rakhi Sarkar told reporters here.
A large exhibition of visual art is expected to go from Germany and will be showcased to concur with the CIMA Awards show. Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata’s chief Friso Maecker, who is banding together with CIMA, said people will get the opportunity to see contemporary art, not seen that regularly. They are planning of exhibition of 42 centers from various controls with a theme of margin.
“We want new sounds and exploratory music. In silver screen, we can have an interesting container of experimental movies. Film is affecting our craft big way,” Sarkar said.
