SRK Donates 1 Crore Fund to Chennai Flood Victims
Finally the rains in the Chennai had subsided, the water logging is slowly getting reduced and the people of Chennai are still getting recovered from these horrific floods. Lots of parts in the Chennai were damaged including many houses and buildings all across the city, people suffered with lack of proper shelter and food. Government has taken several relief actions and many people across the country have come forward to help Chennai in whatever way possible. This is a good thing. Now, Social media is circulating with news that Shah Rukh Khan of Bollywood has recently donated 1 crore rupee relief fund in regards to Chennai floods for the flood victims.
SRK Letter to Chennai Chief Minister
Here, is the letter of SRK to Chennai CM Jayalalithaa which says that this top actor of Bollywood have contributed to the CM’s Public Relief Fund. In the letter it is mentioned that, On behalf of the Red Chillies Entertainment as well as the team of Dilwale, this contribution of 1 crore rupees to CM’s public relief fund.
Though there is no official confirmation from SRK of his production house as of now, this actor has prayed for the people of Chennai and his tweet on his twitter account proves this. It is like this,
“May God look after all our brothers & sisters in Chennai. Nature’s fury is strong may we all have the strength to fight it. Insha Allah.”
Many Other Actors Donated for Chennai Flood Relief
Apart from SRK, many other actors from various industries have contributed for the Chennai flood relief. Rajinikanth, Allu Arjun, and Mahesh Babu have extended their financial support, RJ Balaji, Siddharth, R Madhavan and Dhanush are looking after the basic needs for the Chennai flood victims.
Each contribution for the Chennai flood relief will be counted and we hope soon Chennai get backs to its normal stage and it will be a smart city once again.
