Chennai, July 28 (IANS) The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday declared a public holiday .on July 30 as a mark of respect to former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who died on Monday.
In a statement issued here, the government said it has decided to declare a public holiday on Thurday, the day of Kalam’s funeral, under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
July 30 will be a holiday for all educational institutions, government and private establishments, it said.
The last rites of former President APJ Abdul Kalam will be held at his native place at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
Note : It’s Only Declared For Tamilnadu By Tamilnadu Government.
