She Teams Short Film by Jayasudha – Telangana Police
Telangana police department made and released a short-film featuring actress Jayasudha. In this Short-film Jayasudha acted as common women who surrender the eve teasers to the police. And she has a son this short film. This is mainly focus on eve teasers and it has message saying that “Don’t react after the incident happened – react when incident happens.”
At present, this video is going viral in social media and getting huge response from the youth. Telangana Police department made this short film for educating people about SHE teams in Hyderabad. SHE teams were appointed by Police department of Telanagana to protect women from eve teasers in the Hyderabad city.
And it was a pride moment for the Telanagana police as their initiative, meant to control eve teasing, turned a year old and arrested a number of offenders as well as instilled confidence among women/girls. To celebrate the success of “SHE Teams” event was held, many of the personalities attend the event, on Sunday.
Cyberabad Police Organized One Year ‘SHE Teams’ Initiative
To mark the event, MP Kavitha along with movie actress turned politician Jayasudha and Cyberabad police Commissioner C.V. Anand flagged off ‘SHE Walkathon’, a one Kilo meter walk organized to create awareness on women’s safety.
Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that the TRS believed that achieving ‘Bangaru Telangana’ will not be possible until women are safe.
Later JAyasudha said that acting in the movie was an experience and praised the achievements of the ‘SHE teams’.
MR K Anand said “While informing that only seven have been booked under Nirbhaya Act and 122 were repeat offenders of 825 people nabbed,” he also said that focus of the officials as not to randomly book, but to counsel and bring in a change in the behavior of the offenders.
