Two killed, five hurt in accident on the Vijayawada old Amaravati road
Vijayawada : Two women were killed on the spot and five others were injured on Friday when a speeding truck rammed in to an auto rickshaw on the Vijayawada old Amaravati road at Peda Madduru of Guntur district.
According to Amaravati police inspector M. Hanumantha Rao, the auto rickshaw was going to Mangalagiri when a speeding lorry going to Amaravati rammed in to the rickshaw. Auto rickshaw commuters, G. Samrajyam, 60m of Mangalagiri and K. Sikhamani, 45, of Narukullapadu of Amaravati mandal died on the spot. Amaravati police rushed to the spot and shifted the five injured to area government hospital at Amaravati. They have registered a case and started investigation.
