This trailer, however, is chock full o’ the typical tropes seen in a plethora of other exorcism movies: the inverted Christian cross, the Latin chanting, the body of the possessed crawling across the ceiling, etc, etc. The only playful thing glimpsed in this early look is the use of a zoetrope which reveals scenes of the Warrens’ misadventures in a fun and creepy new way. Then again, Wan himself is wary of trailers spoiling too much of the movie, so here’s hoping he found a way to hold a lot of the creepiest footage back.
After the first Movie, The Conjuring 2 tells another true story in the case files of Lorraine(Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren(Patrick Wilson). It is titled with the name ‘The Enfield Poltergeist’, The Official Trailer for the Movie Launch on 7th Jan 2016. The Conjuring 2 Movie was originally scheduled to release on 23rd October 2015. But in October 2014, The Distributer Warner Bros. pulled the Movie from the schedule and set the film for an unfixed 2016 release date. On 11th November 2014, the film’s release date was moved forward to 10th June 2016, setting it for a summer debut like its predecessor.
The film follows the phenomenal worldwide reception of Wan’s The Conjuring, which marked the largest opening ever for an original horror movie in 2013. The film went on to make more than $319 million worldwide and still remains the second-highest grossing original horror movie of all time, second only to The Exorcist.
