This is sad. Roger Rees died suddenly. He was lord Marbury in the west wing. Such a brilliant character, and i love the way he got on Leos nerves. Also played robin Colcord in cheers which was another superb character. Roger Rees, the Welsh-born icon of the stage who gained fame for playing the title role in the original marathon Royal Shakespeare Company production of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, has died. He was 71.

Rees died at his home, his representative said. Survivors include his husband Rick Ellice, the playwright, whose credits include the “Peter Pan” prequel “Peter and the Star catcher”, which Rees co-directed, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Rees, who spent more than two decades with the RSC, captured the Tony Award for best actor in a play in 1982 for his work in the RSC production of Charles Dickens’ The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby.
Today producer Tom Kirdahy Sais about him and given a statement of “Roger Rees is undergoing a treatment for a medical condition, and while the prognosis is bright, he’s currently unable to perform in the show,”
Rees appeared in the film’s Star 80, If Looks Could Kill, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Next Stop Wonderland, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Return to Never Land, The Scorpion King, Frida, The Emperor’s Club, Crazy Like a Fox, The Pink Panther (2006), The Treatment, Garfield 2, The Prestige, The Invasion, The Narrows, Almost Perfect, Affluenza and Survivor which was released in the UK on June 5.
