Microsoft Windows 10 unveiled another restriction. If the user runs any pirated games or software which is not original on the Windows 10 running PC, then Microsoft will uninstall such kind of software’s. According to the latest European License Agreement terms and conditions, Microsoft has the power to uninstall such software’s remotely.

Not only pirated games also the fake software.

This statement was spotted by PC Authority in the End Users License Agreement (EULA) and lets Microsoft not only disable counterfeit software but also hardware. According to Section 7b or “Updates to the Services or Software, and Changes to These Terms,” part of the Microsoft Services end user license agreement (EULA) it states that, “Sometimes you’ll need software updates to keep using the Services. We may automatically check your version of the software and download software updates or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorized hardware peripheral devices. You may also be required to update the software to continue using the Services.”

Not clear about the Unauthorized hardware

It is clear that Microsoft, not going to tolerate the pirated games, but there is no clarification about unauthorized hardware. Does Microsoft means about the devices such as the Xbox one or Xbox 360? Or will there be a list of peripherals that Microsoft has slotted as unauthorized. Up to now there is no clear information about the unauthorized hardware; we will let you to know about this with in few more days.

Microsoft itself installs the updates automatically

In the country like India, this ban will shows a huge impact on the users who are very much addicted to pirated software’s. In India pirated software’s are widely used by the users, so it will create inconvenience to the users. The Microsoft hasn’t stated how it is going to track the counterfeit games and software’s which are already installed on your machine.

Recently, Microsoft had added a clause in its Release 10240 EULA that said, “By accepting this agreement, you agree to receive these types of automatic updates without any additional notice.” According to this addition to the clause, user will no longer get options such as ‘choose when to reboot’, ‘choose when to download and install’ and ‘never check for updates’, which are present in Windows 8.1. Windows 10 updates will be downloaded and installed automatically. As an end user, you will only get the option to choose when to reboot the machine once the updates have downloaded and installed.
